Bad Mother

Bad Mother - by Ayelet Waldman

A Review

Bad Mother is 'A Chronicle of Maternal Crimes, Minor Calamities, and Occasional Moments of Grace'

A good read and one that makes you cringe (remembering things you care to forget you may have done!), think Phew!, thank goodness I didn't think or do that and Yes. Who cares if I am a good, bad or indifferent mother in the eyes of everyone else.

As you read through her novel you begin to realize that it is OK to make mistakes, exaggerate a little, get it hideously wrong, be outspoken, cry and laugh your way through motherhood.

Ayelet Walderman says it's time for women to get over it and get on with it.

The book offers moments of comfort that you are not alone and that every mother is tripping her way through the minefield of bringing up children.
